Continuing the series of annual one-day workshops on X-ray astronomy in the UK, this year's meeting will be held at the Calman Learning Centre on the Science Site of Durham University on Monday, 6th of September 2010. The meeting will consist of contributed talks and posters on the subject of New Results in X-ray Astronomy 2010.
The purpose of this series of workshops is to showcase the increasingly fascinating and important science emerging from current X-ray missions, as well as to discuss the science that will drive the next generation of missions. In particular, this is an opportunity for junior members of the community to showcase their work and to meet members of other groups around the UK. The schedule of contributed talks and posters covers a broad array of research interests all important to current X-ray astrophysics.
Registration for abstract submissions for contributed talks is now closed. However, anyone interested in attending the meeting can contact the organisers directly by sending an email to xraymeeting at googlemail.com; we may even still be able to consider abstract submissions for posters. There is no registration fee for this meeting.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided free of charge at the conference venue, the top floor of the Calman Learning Centre. Please email us if you have any dietary requirements regarding lunch.
Please send any questions regarding the workshop to Adam Ingram, a.r.ingram at durham.ac.uk.
