Summer Triangle

The three bright stars, Deneb (in Cygnus), Vega (in Lyra) and Altair (in Aquila) form a near perfect right angle triangle.

In the summer time and the early autumn, these three stars are often the first feature you see in the darkening evening sky.

The Milky Way runs right through this part of the celestial sphere.
