Exchanges can take place (in either direction) between Latin America and Europe and China and Europe, but not between nodes in the same continent. In Year 1 (15 May 2011-14 May 2012), 23 exchanges took place, accounting for 36.5 months. Exchanges are supported at a flat rate of 1743 euro per month.
