1 day Meeting in X-ray Astronomy :
Thursday 14th September 2017

Scope of Workshop

The long-established series of annual one-day X-ray astronomy meetings in the UK will this year be hosted by the Mullard Space Science Laboratory (MSSL), Department of Space and Climate Physics of University College London, on Wednesday 28th September 2016. The purpose of this 1-day meeting is to showcase any new scientific results achieved by the current X-ray missions, as well as to discuss the science that will drive the next generation of instruments. All interested persons are invited to attend. In particular this meeting will provide an opportunity for newer members of the UK high energy astronomical community to present results, and to meet with members of other groups working in this area. The meeting is expected to start at 10:30 am (coffee available from 10:00 am) and end at 5:30 pm, immediately followed by a reception. Please note there will be a £10 charge for the day's catering, see catering and reception for more details. Those wishing to attend should forward their contact details to Myrto Symeonidis (cc Megan Whewell and Ellis Owen) by 7 September 2016 at the latest.
