This page contains links to the various pieces of software used to create these movies, as well as extra information on the HST, ALMA, and other data used.
Partiview was used for the majority of this project, to model each of the data sets in 3D and record the flythroughs.

STIFF was used to create the colour pictures of the HST and MUSE images from FITS data.

The extraction function of DS9 was used to identify objects in both the HST and MUSE data. The catalogue and segmentation map generated were then used to create the thumbnails that are used in the videos.

TOPCAT was used to compare and analyse the various data catalogues.

The HST movies are based on Hubble Space Telescope observations of the Hubble Ultra Deep Field.
More Info
The MUSE movies are based on the Multi-Unit Spectroscopic Explorer data of the same UDF.

The ALMA movies were generated from data from the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array, particularly the bright galaxies dicussed in A deep ALMA image of the HUDF (J.S. Dunlop).
