Undergraduate Admissions
Information for those thinking of reading Physics at Durham
DURHAM is one of the leading physics departments in Great Britain. Our research ranges from fundamental topics such as elementary particle physics and cosmology to applied areas which receive substantial support from industry. We retained our grade 5 rating in the recent Research Selectivity Exercise. We are also committed to high-quality undergraduate teaching, and Durham admits up to 130 students every year to study for a range of physics-related degrees. We have just received the maximum possible rating of 24 in the QAA national assessment of university teaching standards.

On this home page you will find links to information on our undergraduate and postgraduate courses, our research interests, and general information about the department and Durham University.
