VAM 2023

By Bus

We have organised buses for participants landing and leaving from Rome FCO airport. We have tried to accomodate as many participants as possible in selecting the departure times. If you have not filled out the transfer request form but would like to use the buses, please let us know by email.

FCO -> Vasto: Sunday 18 June departing at 13:30pm.
The bus will leave from outside of Terminal 3. The bus will have a sign with the VAM logo on it.

Vasto -> FCO: Saturday 24 June departing from Vasto at 5:45am.
The bus will pick-up participants from both Vasto Marina and Vasto city.

If the bus times do not match your arrival time, there are direct busses from Rome FCO to Vasto every few hours with the following operators:
- Clikbus
- Di Carlo bus
When selecting the arrival location, select "Vasto (Terminal)" or "Vasto"

By Taxi from PSR

Several participants are arriving/departing to/from Pescara PSR airport. Taxi fares from PSR to Vasto are between 100-120 Euro. Larger 9-seater vans are 200 Euro. If you'd like to share a taxi with other participants, please let us know by email if you haven't done so already and we can match you with other participants arriving at a similar time and book those if required.

By Car

Parking in Vasto city can be limited at times. We have organised a special rate of 20 Euro for the full week with the parking lot Multipiano for participants. On arrival, you can buy the weekly ticket "Abbonamento Settimanale" from the automatic machine for 20 Euro. Alternativley you can proceed and collect a ticket from the machine at the entrance as you normally would. On Monday (or whenever you have a spare moment) go back to the parking lot infopoint and exchange your collected ticket (showing your VAM badge) for a parking card which will be valid for the entire week.

By Train

If arriving by train at the Vasto-S.Salvo train station, you can take a taxi or local busses to your accomodation. From Vasto-S.Salvo station the Linea 1 and Linea 4 operate regular busses to Vasto Marina and Vasto city Monday-Saturday. On Sunday the Linea Festiva operates only. If you prefer a taxi, see the taxi section for phone numbers and the local bus transport timetable. From Vasto-S.Salvo station the Linea 1 and Linea 4 will take you to the hotels in Vasto Marina and proceed to Vasto city centre.
