Mostly dedicated to accretion/ejection phenomena observed in binaries with white dwarf, neutron star or stellar-mass black hole accretors
Learn moreMostly deicated to accretion/ejection in active galactic nuclei, including central engine power, outflows/jets, populations, surveys, and tidal disruption events
Learn moreAccretion is the process that regulates the growth and evolution of objects in our Universe. Accreting systems across a wide range of mass and size scales exhibit rich and surprisingly consistent phenomenology. Building on the succsess of the first Vasto Accretion Meeting in 2023, this new edition will see two back-to-back conferences will aim to facilitate the sharing of insights into accretion physics across the scales. The first week will be mostly dedicated to accretion/ejection in compact interacting binaries, while the second week will be mostly dedicated to accretion/ejection processes occuring in active galactic nuclei.
Learn moreThe historical Palazzo d'Avalos situated in Vasto on the Italian Adriatic coast will be the venue for the conference.
Learn moreAn evening public lecture (in italian) is planned during the first week of the VAM. Special Guest Mariafelicia De Laurentis will talk about the Event Horizon Telescope.
